Summer Sunsets

We have had hot summer days and some beautiful sunsets this week. I was on my way to the store the other night when I saw this one. I had to pull my car to the side of the road. I couldn't let this one get away. (You can click on the image to enlarge)

I Can't Decide!

I am in love with these Paris Opera Girls, but I can't seem to narrow it down to just 4 to order for the store. These darlings are only 6" tall.. I think there are 15 different ones, but at least I have it narrowed to 7! Can you help me out Bloggers? I have numbered each girl and you can leave a comment with your top 4 favorites. Thanks!

I Couldn't Say No

I'm finally back...sure did miss this place. Summer is a busy time around here so I put off blogging for a time. The store is keeping us busy and busy is GOOD! The tourists have hit the island and business has never been better.

I came across 2 old industrial typewriter stands this week.

This one...old blue paint with lots of wear.
To some, it may very well be a piece of junk that they would pass by, but how could I say ...

As you can see, it was a definite YES! It is currently in the store.

The sides flip up for extra work space.

The other in it's natural gray finish. Much cleaner and my husband actually said "Cool table, where did you get it?" I was impressed..maybe he's starting to get it.

And this cutie...oh my! A vintage red & cream kitchen stool.

It's official...I can't say NO to junk. :)

When Something Turns Up Missing...

A sweet little lamp

A pin cushion doll

A favorite vintage bedspread.. (my most recent theft)

Or even a chair or two (she took not only one, but the PAIR!)

I know right where to find it.
My daughter's room. She really should ask me first, don't you think? :)

Actually, I'm a little guilty of borrowing things from her as well, so I guess it's a trade off, but hey...I always ask before I take! :)

These are a few items I borrowed from her for store display, so I always have
strict orders to mark them Store Display- NFS. I guess having the same taste in junk has it's advantages.

Poor Myra..looks like someone tried to cut her off at the neck but we still think she's a beauty. I want to give her wooden dowel arms so she can hold necklaces. That's on my To Do List.
