Crazy Weather...

...Crazy me. My face is under there, somewhere. You didn't want to see it at 6 am anyway. Trust me!

Like many other San Diegan's, I was awakened by strong winds and rain early this morning. So as I listened to the wind howl, like I have never heard it howl before, I decided to experience this baby first hand. 50-55 MPH winds are not something we get here very often...ya only live once! It seems the worst is over after tonight. I prefer staying home during storms, so I've been putting in some hours on the website. Look for new arrivals by tomorrow evening. It's That Time Of Year...Go Bolts!

The Chargers have a big game on Sunday, and when the home team is in the running, you can bet my husband will be showing his home team spirit! He was missing for a few hours last night, and when he came in to ask me to come outside to see what he had been up to...well, I was speechless. I had to run back in and get my camera.

When we arrived home this evening, dear daughter looks over at the gate and with a roll of the eyes, announces that she won't be having any friends over until this comes down...LOL.

Dear Anthropologie...

Must you send your monthly seductive catalogs to my daughter? With every issue, there is at least ONE article of clothing that she has to have. And for the month of January, this is IT. Why couldn't it be a pom pom headband or anything at all under $40?!!

Last I checked, this little number will cost her a 1 week pay check, since she only works 2 days a week. I seriously doubt this one will ever make it to the "sale room" anytime soon, so yes, she will be visiting the store on her next payday. Ahhh..to be young with free room & board, meals and no bills. I guess I can't blame her. :)

A Very Anthropologie & Martha Christmas

I'm a little late with the post-Christmas post, but we had a wonderful Christmas. Martha's brightly colored mixing bowls, recipe box, cutting board and gadgets were a few things on her Christmas wish list.




Leave it to Martha to design a set of Melamine bowls that look this good.



These red boots, sweater and dress from her favorite store made her smile.
She really needs to get a job there. Seriously.


Jenna made the raspberry cheesecake for our Christmas Eve dinner and bags of home made cookies to hand out for gifts. My baby girl is all grown up.
We had a very nice celebration with family..hope yours was memorable too! The day after Christmas included a trip to where else? Anthropologie, of course! She had Christmas money to spend!

New Year's Eve was spent at home. I made one of our favorite dishes..Chicken & Dumplings. Jenna made a Bailey's Cheese Cake and we played Scrabble. I can't think of a better way to spend New Year's Eve!
