Happy Birthday to my girl

Our daughter is celebrating her 18th birthday today.
Wow...18. I still think of her as my little girl, and I guess I always will.
She still refers to me as "Mommy," and although that will soon change,I'm enjoying it for now.

I surprised her with this vintage Bauman salesman sample dress form that came to me with an amazing story. A friend of mine inherited 3 of these from her Aunt just recently. Her aunt was a dressmaker during the 1940's in New York, and she met her future husband on a train ride to New York. He happened to be a traveling dress form salesman!

My daughter has been sewing since she was 12, and I could not think if a more fitting gift than this dress form! As a favor to my friend, I will be selling one of these dress forms for my friend on my web site in the
near future!

Nancy! Had to jump on here this morning and tell you how much I LOVE the clock! It was intended as a birthday gift for my art-deco-possessed SIL (their bedroom is black and gold, to boot), but I am having a HARD time over the thought of parting with it! =)

Happy Birthday! 18! I can almost remember what it felt like... So exciting and heady, but rather fearful in small part. My baby is only 9. I can't imagine what the next 9 years will bring... Love your PERFECT birthday gift.

Happy birthday to your beautiful daughter! My son, who just turned 16, had his birthday on the 10th. It is amazing how fast they grow up! I still feel so young, how could my baby be 16? It must be so great to have a daughter, I can't wait to get daughters in law! My eldest is getting married in Sept. to a wonderful girl, YEA!
Thanks for having a great blog to visit!
Bless you, Donna Lynn
