A Girl & Her Coat

This has been Jenna's favorite coat for the past two years. It has kept her warm on trips to San Francisco, and many trips to LA. She even wears it when she doesn't even need a coat! She loves it that much. A few weeks ago, I arrived home to find her in tears. She had washed the coat in cold water AND she put it in the dryer, on delicate. The coat is wool..what was she thinking? All she could manage to blurt out as she handed it off to me was that she tried to stretch it back but it wasn't working.
So I spent the next 30 minutes trying to stretch it every which way and I actually think I got it back to an XXXXX Small. So the next few days were spent on eBay, searching for the elusive Anthropologie Flower Field coat. Much to my surprise, she found 3, all of which had been snapped up with Buy It Now. I told her to be patient...another would surely appear... seasoned eBay veterans KNOW these these! `o) And the very next day when I heard a scream from her room, I knew. I made the purchase with Buy It Now, but she paid every penny of it herself. I'm 99.9% certain that this one won't be going into the washer.

You should give the ruined coat to Val.

Hi PBK...she was able to get another one fairly quickly, so she's happy now and learned a valuable lesson!

Tamerie: so funny you mentioned that because that was my very first thought. I am waiting to see if it will fit my niece who is coming down Christmas Eve. I am pretty sure it will, but if not, I think Val can make a darling purse out of it!

oh yes..........a lesson we have all learned. I'm so glad she found another one just like it! Once the boys and one of Brandons friends were out playing in the snow and came home soaked!! instead of putting it on delicate.......I had it on the hottest setting......needless to say, they all were sorta melted together, coats, snowpants....all of it. Not only did I have to buy new stuff for my boys but the other friend too!! Expensive lesson! LOL!!! so one of his friends still sings me his made up song about Brandon's burning dryer! They are all now in their 20's! LOL!!!!

Awwww.... I have been searching for a particular jacket from Anthropologie for about 4 years. It is the Vanilla Fields coat - knee length, embroidered. I can't find it anywhere :( It was way too expensive when it came out and I was sure it would go on sale, but never did. I look for it about once a week, so she got really lucky to find one so quickly.

Don't wash this one! :)
