A favorite stop...

I visited one of my favorite places yesterday..Architectural Salvage, located
near downtown San Diego. The airport is just a few blocks away,
and since it's in the flight path, planes pass overhead every few minutes.
It sounds like they are coming right through the old brick building!

I took a few pictures to share with you.
This is just a taste of what's hiding in this
old treasure trove!
When you first enter, this is the first thing you see. Isn't he amazing?
I'd say he sure beats the heck out of a Wal-Mart greeter. :)
Imported from Europe and he can be yours for only $1,800.

These made me smile...old concrete playground animals.
I was this close to sitting on him for a picture!
Maybe next time...
A duck , a lambie & horse. Old pals that I hope stay together.
I sure wanted to take that duck home! ~Priced at $150 each.

Decorative Registers...I'd love to fill a wall with these!

Fabulous Crusty, rusty iron entry gates...oh, if these old gates could talk!

Glass ceiling shades galore !!!!

The yummy pastel colors remind me of candy necklaces.

Sparkling crystal drops filled this galvanzied tub : 50 cents each

I grew up with these sinks in our 1928 home, something I miss and hope to have one again someday.

An unusual floral light..

Stained glass windows...so many beautiful ones, but I fell in love with the colors on this one.

If I could , I would take so many things home, but for today,
this will be my only purchase.

An old 3 goddess metal lamp base. There were
3 more and I am tempted to go back tomorrow and get one more!
I have no idea what I will do with it, but I had to have it.

I could spend hours in this place,
but was pressed for time so my stay was
brief.

Do I have to leave?

Golly, I love places like that and those old playground animals....wow. Nancy, I ran across your blog while visiting Beachys Cape Cod Cottage. I remember you from eBay. I think you bid on some of my stuff a couple of times and I always loved going to your ebay site. You always had a wonderful way with your listings. I haven't eBayed now in months since opening my boutique. I see you have just start blogging. It's amazing and so addictive. I have met so many wonderful ladies. Come for a visit when you can. ~ Lynn
