Who is this imposter?

I loved his long hair, but with the warm weather and endless combing, we decided to go for a shorter style on Ivan. I really miss his shagginess :(

What does everyone else think? Before or after?

Well . . . . .I'd have to say I like BEFORE better, but he's still a very handsome little muffin man!

You know I like the haircut, I think it makes him look like a puppy. Either way he's pretty cute!

He is adorable before and after. And look at that adorable smile, maybe he likes the new summer look.

So so so sweet! (But I admit, I love the scruffier look a bit better!) =)

Being the ever constant dog groomer, I tend to go with the shorter 'personality' cut, you erased years off that sweet lil' face, looks like a puppy again. I finally scissored 'Scratchy' after 5 years of long hair...she's adorable...but still BAD!!!

Oh, I love the after. I face the same thing with Mabel. Ok, maybe not the same thing b/c her long hair is not doggy-chic. But when she's trimmed and her little face whiskers are short and spiky, she's so full of herself that I cant help but love it.

My grandparents breed Havanese (and have 4 of their own). During the summer they usually trim a significant amount of the dog's fur, unless of course they will be showing them during the summer. To me the dogs seem happier and much cooler. I like your little guy with shorter hair. The great thing is that it will all grow back.

Is Ivan a Shih-Tzu? We have 2 Shih-Tzu's..Sir Lancelot (8 yrs.) and Lady Macy (8 mths.). We keep him on the short side but he's got more of a fur on him. Macy's got longer, straighter hair and she sheds. Eeek! We're thinking of having her cut short but I can't decide cuz I like her longer look. Ivan looks adorable both ways, I think. They are such hot-natured dogs so I tend to think they're happier when they're cut shorter? BTW, in case you're wondering why we didn't name her Lady Gwen...Lancelot's sis has already got that name. :-D
